Will there be a Second Chance for Salvation after Death?

Text that says, "A God of second chances, in this life only."
It is in this life only that we have an opportunity to be saved. After death there is no second chance for salvation, only judgement.

(Hebrews 9:27) And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment KJV

In (Revelation 20) we find a description of the final judgement. All of the dead will stand before God’s throne. Among the books that will be opened that day will be the Book of Life. For those whose name is not found in the Book Of Life, they will be thrown into the Lake of Fire. (Revelation 20:11-15)

A God Of Second Chances, In This Life Only

God is not willing that any should perish, therefore he is patient because he wants everyone to repent (2 Peter 3:9). It is because of God’s patience that so many people receive numerous opportunities to be saved while they are alive. However, even in this life there is no way for a person to know when they are being given their last opportunity to be saved. This is why the Bible says now is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2), because no one is guaranteed they will be alive tomorrow.

The Scriptures are clear there is no second chance for salvation after death. So the all important question becomes, “What must we do to be saved?” Salvation comes by obeying God’s plan of salvation. (Acts 2:38) says to repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. It is by obeying his plan while we are alive that we will be able to find our name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life on that all important day!
