Are there any Triplets in the Bible?

Triplets are far less common than twins, and definitely less common than giving birth to just one child at a time. This multiple birth event where a mother delivers three babies doesn’t happen often. Just a little more than 1 in 1000 births are trios. With this situation being a bit on the rare side, this leads us to our question, “Are there any triplets in the Bible?”

Possible Triplets In The Bible

Shem, Ham, and Japheth

(Genesis 5:32) After Noah was 500 years old, he became the father of Shem, Ham and Japheth.

While some will debate that (Genesis 5:32) is referring to triplets, it’s simply a stretch to believe so. The simple statement made in the verse that Noah had three children after he was 500 years old certainly doesn’t mean they were born at the same time.

While we do find evidence of twins in the Scriptures, there are no known individuals that are identified as triplets in the Bible.
