What is the World’s Smallest Bible?

Oh the wonders of technology! The creative minds that God has given the human race has produced so many amazing things, including the world’s smallest Bible.

The Nano Bible

The Nano Bible is considered to be the smallest Bible in the world. It is a tiny microchip the size of a grain of sugar in which the entire Hebrew Bible is said to be etched onto. While you would be able to see the chip itself with a magnifying glass, you would still need a high-powered microscope to be able to actually read this miniature version of the Bible. It needs to be magnified 10,000 times to see it well enough to read.

Created by a group of Israeli scientist, the Nano Bible was made with a focused ion laser beam that engraved the text onto a gold layered wafer of silicon. The ability to engrave the 1,200,000 letters that make up the Hebrew Bible onto a chip that measures just 4.76 mm on each side is simply mind-boggling.

I Have Hidden Your Word In My Heart

Some of the original intent behind creating such a tiny Bible was to be able to embed God’s Word into different items that individuals can carry around with them. Admittingly this is a neat idea, but nothing takes the place of hiding God’s Word in your heart.

(Psalm 119:11) I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.
